Equal Love

Today I had a closer look at the gay community, and gays’ right to get married, by attending the Gay Rally at Brisbane Square hosted by Equal Love Brisbane.

I realised that homosexuals are not legally allowed to marry in Australia when I just moved here. In 1989 Denmark was the first country in the world to legalise Registered Partnership for homosexual couples. However, not until recently was it legalised for homosexual couples to get married in a church. – 23 years after the initial legislation.

Here are some of the photos I took today from the gay rally.
